Metin2 is a free MMORPG developed by Ymir Entertainment, published in Romania by Gameforge 4D GmbH. Webzen acquired Ymir Entertainment on January 26, 2011 and became the owner of Metin2 and Metin games. The game itself consists of the struggle for supremacy of the 3 enemy kingdoms that, although they once formed a single prosperous kingdom, following the spontaneous appearance of the metin stones, they split up and are at war with each other. Once registered, the player will choose his kingdom and also the character he will play with. Initially the selected character will be in a location colloquially referred to by players as "map1" of the chosen kingdom, then the player will have to face various monsters whose power gradually increases to be able to accumulate experience points necessary for leveling up, items/equipment and yang(one of the exchange currencies of the game).
